Who We Are
purefrancenow is an England and France based company which specialises in property, holidays, and life in France.
The company has evolved from the direct French experience of the founding owners – Brian and Lucy Franklin.
Brian and Lucy Franklin have spent over 12 years living and renovating property in the Rhône-Alpes region of central France, and have a home and office base near to the medieval hill village of Perreux in the Roannaise region, close to the township of Roanne (in the Rhône-Alpes on the edge of the Auvergne)
Lyon, France’s second city, is just over an hour’s drive, or local train journey away.
In fact, the area where Brian and Lucy have worked and lived is within the ‘Massif Central’, a magnificent area of unspoiled natural beauty, ancient history, art and architecture, and good hearty regional cuisine, with wonderful and exceptional local wines, particularly those from the vineyards of the Cote du Rhone, Burgundy, and the Beaujolais.
Why This Company?
Basically, despite knowing that there are a huge number of other companies and operators (some very good, some not so good) which provide a wide variety of properties, holidays, products, and information services for most regions of France, it was felt that through direct and personal experience the Rhône-Alpes, and, in particular, the Roannais region, was very much under promoted.
Despite its superb location and proximity to some of the most beautiful countryside and superb places of historical interest in France very few people and, indeed, property and holiday companies, were extolling its many virtues to the wider world.
Other regions such as those of the north and south of France, such as Normandy, Brittany, Provence, Languedoc, etc., and those close to the flauntingly, busy townships , and sun-drenched beaches of the Mediterranean, have always been prioritised, and intensely promoted.
And for good reason, of course!
An Opportunity
It seemed appropriate and opportune to try and do something which would stimulate more interest in this part of the Rhône-Alpes region.
Having fallen in love with this region of France, Brian and Lucy wanted to ‘shout’ about its many attributes a little louder.
Their experience was, it was felt, well worth talking about!
Not only that, but the idea of offering an entrée to the region for both prospective holidaymakers, property purchasers, and others interested in French products and produce, seemed like a very good idea.
This idea to use their knowledge, experience, and expertise to advise and help others with similar orientations towards living or holidaying in France felt like a ‘eureka’ moment!
The opportunity for them to learn even more about France, the Rhône-Alpes, and other surrounding regions whilst providing a service to others would be part of the fun, and a definite bonus.
Expertise
Both Brian and Lucy Franklin come from creative marketing backgrounds within Design, Advertising, and Photography.
Lucy is an experienced Interior Designer and Photographic Stylist.
Brian has developed and managed various Design Consultancies and Property Development Companies in the UK.
During the last 12 years we have renovated and converted several French properties, and have also been involved in a number of property development projects in the UK.
This has included architectural design, and complete interior styling, as well as total project control of construction and Installation of all services.
